Sponsorships and Advertisements

Sponsorships and advertisements are available for our website, club contests, and for local events. We welcome charitable donations from food allergy and gluten free manufacturers, vendors, organizations, support groups, local businesses, and generous individuals. We have a dedicated space available on our website to showcase our generous benefactors. This is a thank you gesture for your support.

We offer two sponsorship ad spaces, both are designed to alternate 4 images in each respective ad location. Advertisers are given the option to spread their message into 4 separate images that will each display for a determined number of seconds in a continual looping pattern. This gives the advertiser optimal exposure in a smaller space. Our organization can design your ad to fit the space requirements with the images and text you provide.

Our Ad Modules:

  1. A 275 x100 pixel slot in our main top banner location. This ideal spot is located just under our navigation buttons and is easily seen by readers when they visit without their having to scroll down first.
  2. A 175 x 175 pixel slot in our sidebar.

Facts about our Organization

  • We are a grassroots organization designed to offer free educational materials for parents, teachers, and kids with food allergies.
  • Our club focuses on giving parents and teachers the tools they need to help food allergic children manage their condition. Our services include providing kid friendly picture recipes, crafts, a continually updated online curriculum, and the resources needed to help families start their own club. Our organization makes it possible for parents to organize locally and give their children a physical club in their neighborhood. Our goal is to help kids with food allergies to learn to shop and prepare food for themselves in a fun and safe manner. We do not raise money for allergy or celiac research.
  • The information we offer is not intended to replace the advice of medical doctors. We strive to avoid advertising for specific brands in our club recipes unless their is only one brand available on the market that is free from the top 8 allergens, gluten, and corn. In such cases we will mention the brand within our recipe. Instead our club recipes offer allergy shopping and cross contamination tips within each of our recipes. We also offer a Food Allergy Shopping Guide to help parents and teachers understand the nuances of managing a food allergic child. Although our club recipes are all free from the top 8 allergens, gluten free and corn free, that does not mean we will not accept support from companies that offer allergy friendly foods containing some of these ingredients. Most of our club members are allergic to only a few of the most common allergens. Our recipes and our club policy is designed to be as inclusive as possible for group meetings.
  • The Chief Executive Officer leads the day-to-day operations of the organization. We do not have a formal corporate sponsor nor are we currently operating on a grant (although we are actively seeking additional funding so that we can do more to improve our exposure and serve more families). All our funding comes from private donations and the revenue donated from sales of our founder's book entitled, Cilie Yack is Under Attack.
  • Donations are tax deductable!

Our Mission Statement

We are a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization providing children with food allergies and digestive disorders a social network in their own school or neighborhood. Our purpose is to support the families of children with food allergies through news, information, recipes, crafts, and an allergic specific curriculum within our website. The information we provide gives families the tools they need to start their own local support group with their own allergic children and their children's siblings and friends.

History of Our Cooking Club

Cilie Yack's Sous Club began in 2009 when a group of concerned parents decided to start a local cooking club for their food allergic kids. The group adopted a cartoon character named Cilie Yack as their mascot to appeal to elementary school children with and without food allergies. This character is also featured in a children's book called Cilie Yack is Under Attack, and is written by the founder of the club. After much planning and organizing our initial board members, along with several volunteers in the allergy community devised a COOKING CLUB FACILITATOR GUIDEBOOK. This guidebook was pilot tested and revised after review by Joel Schaeffer of Allergy Chefs, Inc. It is currently published online for parents and teachers to download for free. This gives parents the opportunity to start their own local cooking clubs with the enclosed materials. In 2010 Cilie Yack's Sous Club was formally incorporated as a 501(c) 3 charitable organization in Illinois, this means that contributions to our organization are tax deductable.
