Kids can use this Recipe to make an all Natural Germ Fighting Spray!

cilieauthorHave you ever used a disinfectant spray bottle? There are many popular brands like Lysol, Fantastic, and Formula 409. But these disinfectant spray bottles have a lot of harsh chemicals in them. This craft project will show you how easy it is to make your own homemade disinfectant spray bottle. Before you can begin preparing food in your kitchen it needs to be clean. This germ fighting spray is the best, safest way to disinfect your tables, chairs, counters and work surfaces. This is a very easy craft for your first cooking club meeting. Parents can fill all the bottles with water in advance if they'd like. Kids should be encouraged to come up with their own brand name for their special germ-killing product. Give them all a sticker label large enough to decorate but small enough to fit on the mini bottle. Then let them get creative with their own brand of cleaner!

Materials for Homemade Disinfectant Spray:

  • 1 sticker label for each club kid to decorate and name
  • 1 small spray bottle for each club kid
  • 1 bottle of Tea Tree Oil
  • 1 bottle of Eucalyptus Oil
  • 1 bottle of Lemon Oil or Orange Oil
  • 1 gallon of water

Directions for Homemade Disinfectant Spray:

This all natural germ-fighting spray can be used on cuts and scrapes, on tables, counters, and other surfaces that are dirty and have germs growing on them. It is a truly safe, all purpose cleaning spray for kids. Your kids will be able to clean up the kitchen without being exposed to toxic cleaning sprays or harsh detergents.

Each club kid will get one bottle and one label. Please pick a person to partner up with. One person needs to hold the bottle while the other person puts the drops in.

For Each Bottle you need to add:

  • 10 drops Tea Tree essential oil
  • 3 drops Eucalyptus Unrectified essential oil
  • 3 drops Lemon essential oil
  • 2 oz. distilled water
